NY: Knopf, 1966. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. First edition, first issue (the poem on page 46 begins "The state...", and the second line begins "The king..."). Very good in a very good+ dust jacket. The page edges are a little soiled, and there is a small bump on the top of the front board. The foredge of the boards are just slightly flared. The jacket is a little worn at the top of the spine, and has a small soiled spot at the bottom of the spine. The jacket spine is just slightly sunned. The first issue of this title is far less common than the second issue, with the tipped in page 46. $4.95 price on jacket flap; no names or other marking in or on the book.
Synopsis
All twenty stories first appeared in the New Yorker.
