New York: Random House. First Trade Edition . Cloth - Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good+. Copyright is 1980. First trade edition following the limited and slipcased edition of 350 copies. 262 pages. Signed in name only by Truman Capote on the title page. Signed in name only by Tennessee Williams, the subject of the dedication, on the dedication page. Publisher's promotional photograph issued with review copies of this book is laid in. There is a very slight and small stain on fore edge. Price clipped dust jacket is slightly darkened along upper edge of inside flaps, and shows slight surface wear. There is a vertical crease along the edge of the inside top flap. Otherwise a bright, crisp, and clean copy with its dust jacket now in a protective sleeve.
Synopsis

Capote's first offering of new material in 14 years, Music for Chameleons spent an unheard of (for a collection of short works) 16 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list.
