New York: Museum of Modern Art. Light wear at corners, light toning to covers. 9 x 6 inches. 165 pages. Photographs by Blaine Waller. Stiff card covers and white spiral binding. ARTY MORSELS. First edition, an interesting early copy marked "Production Copy" on a sticker on the front cover, and on the half-title, dedication and contents pages. The covers bear the ISBN of the "Museum edition" rather than the trade edition ISBN (both listed on the verso of the title). Prints 155 recipes and includes conversations with thirty contemporary painters and sculptors, including Will Barnett, Romare Bearden, Louise Bourgeois, Christo, Dali, Richard Estes, Helen Frankenthaler, Robert Indiana, Alex Katz, Elaine and Willem de Kooning, Marisol, Robert Motherwell, Alice Neel, Andy Warhol and Tom Wesselmann. Warhol's recipe contribution is "Campbells Milk of Tomato Soup... In a saucepan bring soup and two cans of milk to boil; stir. Serve.
