In the publisher's original cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail. Rubbing to joints, with small splits in the cloth towards the head and tail of rear joint. Light marks to rear board. Ink inscription to the head of the front free endpaper, with light offsetting of the ink to the front pastedown. light ink mark to fore edge of text block. Tail of rear free endpaper removed. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright, and generally clean, with instances of light spotting to the first and last few few leaves, and only the odd further instance of spotting. Very Good

Synopsis

The Murder of Roger Ackroyd is a work of detective fiction by Agatha Christie, first published in the UK by William Collins & Sons in June 1926 and in the US by Dodd, Mead and Company on the 19th of the same month. It features Hercule Poirot as the lead detective. The UK edition retailed at seven shillings and sixpence (7/6) and the US edition at $2.00. It is one of Christie's best known and most controversial novels, its innovative twist ending having a significant impact on the genre.
