Matanzas, Cuba: Ediciones Vigía, 2011. A collection of short stories photocopied onto brown recycled paper, with interleaved collage and handcolored illustrations by Sandra Naranjo. One of the illustrations is a cut-out in the shape of a squash that folds out to reveal additional illustrations and text. A bookmark-like illustration, handcolored and assembled from two pieces of paper in the shape of a hand holding a leaf, is laid in.
Fernández de Juan is a Cuban doctor and writer, the daughter of the Cuban writers Roberto Fernández Retamar and Adelaida de Juan, both Ediciones Vigía authors themselves.
