MRS. DALLOWAY provides a snapshot of post-World War I English society, addressing themes such as class, gender roles, and the effects of war on individuals and society. Woolf's portrayal of the characters' internal struggles reflects broader societal concerns of the time, making it a significant work in the modernist literary canon.
Synopsis
Mrs Dalloway is a novel by Virginia Woolf that details a day in the life of Clarissa Dalloway in post-World War I England. Mrs Dalloway continues to be one of Woolf's best-known novels.
