Los Angeles: Otto Carqué, 1928. 12mo, pp. 32. Original yellow stiff paper wrappers. Stamp of Sunshine Health Food Store, San Francisco, and publisher's label on front cover. Lightly rubbed and marked, but still near fine. Illustrated throughout. First and only edition. The Carqués were health food producers with their own shop in Los Angeles, and this booklet contains many recipes based on their products, among them Fruitarian Lima Beans, Flaxseed Gruel, and Carob Fig Laxative Biscuits. Very scarce: only one other copy located worldwide [Huntingdon Library, California].
