London: J. M. Dent and Sons, 1940. First Edition. Very Good/Good. First edition, first printing. Signed by Charles Landery and inscribed to a former owner on the front free endpaper, "To Leo McCabe with best wishes and congratulations on a grand performance in the broadcast of 'Mr. Smith' from Charles Landery." McCabe read the voice Senator Joseph Payne in the 1940 BBC radio adaptation. Bound in publisher's orange cloth stamped in purple. Very Good. Dust-soiled, foxed and a bit musty. In a like dust jacket, which is also sunned and edge-tattered. The novelization of Frank Capra's 1939 film bearing the same title.
