New York: Doran, 1924. Hardcover. Fine/Fine. First edition. Illustrated by Herb Roth. Slight spotting on the front label, else fine in a very near fine dust jacket with wonderful wraparound art by Roth. Mr. and Mrs. Haddock light off for the continent and exhibit less than perfect behavior, humor presumably based on Stewart's expatriate experiences. Basis for the amusing 1931 film *Finn and Hattie* featuring Zasu Pitts, Mitzi Green and Leon Errol as the Haddocks, with a script by Joseph L. Mankiewicz and directed by Norman Z. MacLeod and Norman Taurog.
