London: Watts & Co., 1926. Undetermined. very good. 1st hardcover edition. vii, 55pp. Small octavo. Red cloth covered boards with black lettering on spine and front cover. Black border on front board. Front board bowed slightly. Slight edgewear to boards. Spine is stained, faded and lightly worn. Previous owners name on front free endpaper. Two B/W frontis' with illustrated portraits of Wells and Belloc. A few small spots of foxing to preliminaries and outer edges, else it is internally bright and clean. In orange dust jacket with black lettering. Column border illustration to front cover. Jacket shows some darkening and discolouration (especially near spine) as well as some light chipping near edges. A nice copy in a very good jacket. very good Wells Society 96. The Forum Series. "The verbal blows exchanged between Wells and Belloc over the Outline of History seem to have entertained a largely impartial public". 1926
