Includes lengthy article on 1926 Summer Outing in the Olympics, several articles on Mount Olympus area, many bulletins, numerous period ads, etc. 10 3/4" x 7 1/4". Founded in 1906 by, among others, noted photographers Asahel Curtis and Lawrence Denny Lindsley, club members explored the mountains of the Pacific Northwest and documented their expeditions in this historically important mountaineering journal. Tight, unmarked ex-library copy with minimal shelf wear unless further noted. Bookplate removed from the front pastedown leaving remnant and surface tear. Small label remnant on Greetings page. Bound in dark-brown leather with gilt "Holy Bible" to spine panel. Blind rulings and decorative elements to spine, front and back panels. Presumably a personal copy of prominent Seventh Day Adventist leader and pastor and later one of its most outspoken critics D. M. Canright. Inscription on front free endpaper reads: "R Deming Bible | Bought January 24, 1866 | of Elder Canright | Seventh day adventist | Price $3.00". Numerous additional inscriptions on endpapers, likely in Deming's hand. Unpaginated. 6 7/8" x 4 5/8".
