New York: Henry Holt and Company, 1916. First Edition. First State, with errors uncorrected on pp.88 and 93. Octavo (19.75cm); navy blue cloth, with titles stamped in gilt on spine and front cover; [ii],[6],7-99,[3]pp. Decorative bookplate of American bariton Mordecai Bauman (1912-2007) on front pastedown; gentle sunning to spine and board edges, spine ends worn, touch of softening to lower corners, else a clean, Very Good+ copy, lacking the dustjacket. Frost's third commercially-published book, containing several of his best-loved poems, including "Birches" and "The Road Not Taken." The total printing was 4,000 copies, but it is unclear how many were printed before the errors in the first state were noticed and corrected. CLYMER & GREEN pp.31-32.
