This book covers the visit of Mark Pepys, 6th Earl of Cottenham has he travels across America in 1937. There is a fold -out map in the front of the book showing his journey and it is illustrated throughout with black & white photographs The book is half bound, this looks like leather but doesn't have the smell of leather, it is scuffed at the head of the spine and so far down its length, the corners are also lightly scuffed. The text block has light foxing and there is a dedication on the front end papers. it is still a tight, square copy. .

He did 11,000 miles in 15 days, more than half of it in a Chrysler "Airflow." The book is very good++ and bright. Contents good. The wrapper is near good and quite bright. Small loss to spine tips.
