OL' ADAM AND HIS CHILLUN: by Roark Bradford was the basis of the play Green Pastures,this is a June-1929 printing(code F-D) with its dustjacket(dj has rubbing to front taking out the M of Adam and N of Chillun,light soiling and price clipped,one more chip on the spine area takes out the N again,K in Roark and the RD of Bradford,a coupe more small tears,and minor chipping along the edges. Book has minor edgewear,previous owners name on the 1st leaf,very thigh and square,not ex-lib as so many others listed. Hard to find the DJ in any condition.

EX-LIBRARY,WITHDRAWN STAMPED INSIDE COVERS,LIGHT FOXING THRU OUT,3RD PRINTING,STICKER ON SPINE.SQUARE, TIGHT, TOUCH OF SHELFWEAR. Soiled covers. Because of ex-library rebinding is condition of Good, this is much more than that and better than those higher cost listed for sale. The 7th pic has 2 heavy stains which are tape residue and maybe tape is still there. but pages behind it clear up for the most part. The value of this book is that it is the first edition(meaning no changes were made and is one is rare of this authors work). And the Pulitzer Prize winner for Drama. I've had this one in my collection for over 15 years and was hoping to find a better copy, but as you can see the prices kept going up.
