A full page original SIGNED WATERCOLOUR of Red Breasted Geese in Flight by Peter Scott on blank end paper, dated August 1965. 4to, approximately 310 x 250 mm, 12½ x 10 inches, 16 colour plates including portrait frontispiece of Peter Scott, all on quality thick paper, plus 48 black and white illustrations and 4 small ilustrations in the text, pages: xiii, 1-138, bound in full blue morocco with three swans in flight on upper cover, gilt lettering to spine, gilt ruled dentelles, with gilt name Henry Sotheran to lower dentelle of upper cover and the binder's name "Bayntun-Riviere Bath" on lower dentelle of the lower cover, gilt top edge, other pages untrimmed, blue silk endpapers plus blank endpapers decorated with geese in flight, original dustjacket bound in at rear. Spine rubbed and faded, final endpaper slightly creased otherwise a very good copy, housed in a blue cloth slipcase, slight edge wear to slipcase.
