1947. McGAVIN, E. Cecil. MORMONISM AND MASONRY. Salt Lake City, Utah: Stevens & Wallis, Inc., 1947. 8vo., tan cloth stamped in green, with the original dust jacket; 200 pages. Enlarged Edition. McGavin [1900-1975] is the author of almost 20 books on Mormonism and the American West. This book is his response to claims that Mormon Temple ceremonies are similar to those in Freemasonry. The card was once tipped to the page but is now unattached. Very Good (bump & short tear to lower edge of front cover; contents clean & tight); some fading spine & edgewear (small chips & tears, some rubbing) d/j. $85.00.
