Doubleday and Co. 1947. Stated first edition. Book is in good condition. Text is clean and unmarked. Boards are sturdy. Gilt lettering on spine is bright. Light foxing on first few pages, title page and first few pages of the Prefix.. Deckle edges are lightly soiled. DJ is tattered with chips and tears along edges especially at spine.
