About This Item
Signed limited edition published by The Cornucopia Press in 1990. This is number '252 of 300 copies signed by both J.L. Carr and Ronald Blythe to the limitation page. Blythe provides the four page introduction. The BOOK is in near Fine condition and appears unread. Original green cloth with pink printed label to the spine and the upper cover. Top edge gilt. Protected in a glassine cover. The book was printed by letterpress on Zerkall mould-made paper and bound by The Fine Bindery. This Booker Prize shortlisted novel was thought by the Booker Prize winning author Penelope Fitzgerald to be his 'masterpiece'. 'A Month In The Country' was initially published by The Harvester Press in 1980. This limited edition uses the revised version of the text that J.L. Carr himself would publish the following year at his Quince Tree Press. A handsome production. More images available on request. Ashton Rare Books welcomes direct contact.
