Prior owner's name on endpages; some foxing to page edges; pages clean and unmarked. George G. Harrap hard cover, missing dust jacket. 1925 edition, 4th printing 1931 (stated). 355 pages, 12mo (5"" x 7.5"") Haggard, famous for his adventure novels set in Africa, this time turns to historical Mexico at the time of the Spanish conquest. The author himself said this novel was the last of his best work.
