In the original paper wraps. Poem by English journalist John Taylor, most famous for his posthumous memoir 'Records of My Life.' Five of seven plates including frontispiece by Robert Cruikshank, brother to celebrated cartoonist George Cruikshank and illustrator in his own right.Pagination interrupts at p. 14 of 19. In the original publisher's wraps, front wrap present, rear wrap consists of verso plate of illustrations to rear. Externally generally sound with minor faint handling markings to wraps. Previous owner's ink inscription to front wrap, undated. Binding tender with title page to p 8, and 11 to 14 loose but present. Pages generally very clean throughout. Good Only

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
