Tenth-Anniversary Edition (1985), with Color DJ and duotone drawings and designs by R. Crumb for this edition. Very Good+ in Good+ DJ: The Book shows slight spine lean; a hint of crimp to the heel of the backstrip; the faintest dusting to the top edge of the text block and some thumb-smudges to the fore-edge and a tiny coffee-like staint to the bottom edge; else flawless; the binding is secure; the text is clean. Free of creased or dog-eared pages in the text. Free of underlining, hi-lighting, notations, or marginalia. Free of ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, or labels. A handsome copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing minor, unobtrusive imperfections. Bright and clean. Corners sharp. Very close to "As New". The DJ shows a 2" x 1.5" chip at the outside edge of the rear panel; several short, closed tears at the top edge of the front panel and head of the backstrip; the price is intact; mylar-protected. Attractive and intact, but shows some wear and a serious flaw. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. (9.25 x 6.35 x 1.25 inches). 356 pages. Synopsis

The Monkey Wrench Gang is a novel written by American author Edward Abbey (1927–1989), published in 1975. Easily Abbey's most famous fiction work, the novel concerns the use of sabotage to protest environmentally damaging activities in the American Southwest, and was so influential that the term "monkeywrench" has come to mean, besides sabotage and damage to machines, any violence, sabotage, activism, law-making, or law-breaking to preserve wilderness, wild spaces and ecosystems.
