New York: Rand McNally. Good. 1950. First Edition Thus. Hardcover. 72 p. 29 cm. Sound and square library reinforced binding in illustrated boards. Spine is split at front gutter and has been repaired with a plasticized tape. Label on spine. Spine ends are worn and frayed. The corners are worn through. All edges are rubbed. Fairly light scratches and rub wear to both boars. Gift inscription on front free endpaper dated 1951. Otherwise, the inside pages are generally clean and bright, with occasional smudge marks. Seven stories, each featuring a different mode of transport or machinery; including a fire engine, automobile, switch engine, airplane, power shovel, tractor, and motorboat. A new edition, featuring the bright and bold illustrations in colour and monochrome by Paul Pinson. .
