About This Item

New York: The Viking Press, 1934. Bound in the publishers fine weave aqua green cloth with gilt title lettering to spine and front board. The 296 pages remain in very presentable condition and are tightly bound. All hinges strong. Book sits solid and square. A little dusty overall with light signs of handling otherwise a most agreeable copy. Housed in the cream coloured dustwrapper with publishers printed price intact on front inside flap. Lightly tanned as is normal with this rather delicate of dustwrappers. Light rubbing to the folds and some chips mainly to head and heel of spine otherwise a nice example of the notoriously fragile dustwrapper. Protected in a removable archival booksleeve to preserve its condition. Photographs of the book and the dustwrapper are available on request. This volume contains six excellent short stories and twelve chapters of an unfinished novel not previously published in book form, nearly all of which are from D.H Lawrence's very early and productive period. Overall a solid and presentable copy of this absorbing collection of short stories from one of English literatures most celebrated writers.. First Edition. Very Good/Very Good. FIRST AMERICAN EDITION.
