London: George Philip and Son, 1902. Cloth. Good. 7.5" by 5". G. Rushforth. An instructional work on gymnastic exercises. Illustrated throughout, with diagrams indicating particular movements and stances. With accompanying music scores to the right hand page of most exercises. A lovely little work, providing an insight into 'Modern Gymnastics'. This work instructs the reader on elementary exercises, there was a later 'advanced' work published. Part I of an eventual two part series. Fourth edition of this work, revised. In publisher's cloth binding with gilt stamping to the front board and spine. Externally, rubbed to the extremities and joints. Further patches of rubbing to the head and tail of spine. A few small ink spills to front board. Marks to rear board. Front hinge is strained but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age generally bright. Occasional pencil notations to the margins. Occasional scattered spots. Good
