First edition thus: War Department Educational Manuals issued from the 6th and 5th revised editions, respectively, of Untermeyer's massive work first begun in 1919. Includes critical commentary on and selections from the work of nearly 200 poets.Two volumes. Beige, printed paperwraps with plain black cloth-tape spines. Good or better with covers somewhat soiled, light stain on rear cover volume 2, and long tear in front cover first volume mended with archival tape on verso. Relatively scarce with both volumes together.
