Michael Palin gained a degree in history from Oxford University before going into television and becoming a founder member of the Monty Python team.He has written (and performed in) numerous award-winning films and television series including 'Ripping Yarns', 'Time Bandits' and 'A Private Function'.His books include 'Small Harry and the Toothache Pills' and 'Limericks (then 1989). Alan Lee's love of mythology and folklore has helped him win acclaim as the most exciting contemporary illustrator of fantasy books.His career took off in 1978 when he collaborated with Brian Froud on 'Faeries'.His more recent work has included Peter Dickinson's 'Merlin Dreams',1988,and the 1991 Centenary Edition of J. R. R. Tolkien's trilogy 'The Lord of the Rings'.As conceptual designer,he has worked on Terry Jones' film Erik the Viking and Ridley Scott's Legend.In 1993 he was awarded the Kate Greenaway Medal for his illustrations to 'Black Ships Before Troy'. Richard Seymour graduated from the Royal College of Art in 977 and after four years as a creative director in advertising he left to set up a product design company.he has received awards for his book and record cover designs,and for his advertising work.
