[Butcher 13]. Jasper and Dorcas Adams had a hard life on the frontier in colonial America. It was also a dangerous life. Vigilance and good luck kept them safe until December 24, when raiding Indians captured them and their infant son. Hostages were usually killed in this war, so they would need a miracle to survive.
The text was first published in a trade edition by Heinemann in 1975.
