About This Item
LONDON: JONATHAN CAPE, 1955. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Quarter Leather. Good/No Jacket. Original publisher's quarter morocco binding, rubbed to extremities and with some light marks and a scuff to the boards. The corners are sharp and the leather is clean and tidy, with gilt spine bright. Patterned endpapers and foxing to prelims. The Limitation pages shows only minor foxing, and shows this is copy 1508 of a limited run of 2000. Occasional light scattered foxing, pages generally clean. Pages edges untrimmed. The binding is tight and solid, and I would put this at better than good, say Good Plus. An interesting an scarce item relating to the extraordinary force of nature, scholar and soldier that was T E Lawrence. A nice pice.
