John Stockdale, London, 1804. First Edition. Softcover. Fair Condition/No Dust Jacket. Size: 4to. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Blue printed wraps, includes illustrations of 5 military plans: The Order of Battle and Encampment at Secundra, Attack of Perron's Camp before Allyghur, Fort of Allyghur, Battle of Assye, Battle of Lasswary. Presumably these illustrations correspond with the book by Wellesley that was issued separately. Wraps are heavily worn, many chips and tears at edges and corners, wraps wrinkling at edges, some repairs made with archival tape/tissue, the maps also have some repairs, they have toning and staining, though most staining is on the backs.
