This is a Very Good Copy of this book in green pictorial cloth covers with gilt tile lettering of 'Mike' and publisher 'Black' to spine.There is one prize sunday school methodist plate to the front pastedown,some partial offsetting to the front endpaper.Foxing spots are noted to the pre-lims and there is some foxing or darkening to the page edges.One small and minor 4mm split to cloth at head of spine.All 12 plates by Whitwell are present including b& w frontispiece.There are some sporadic foxing spots internally.Generally the outer boards are a lot brighter and clean that you would normally find.The book has some slight gutter hinge weakness to the front and rear hinge joins,with one or two other gatherings starting to show some weakness.Overall a very pleasing copy for the collector of this True First Edition of 1909 and graded good to just about very good given it's age and rarity,8vo 339pp First UK Edition 1st Impression [1909] . Very Good. Hardcover. First Edition. 1st Printing. 1909.
