About This Item

The first 4 of his books and Pulitzer Prize-winning series of the Middle Border. #1 A Son of the Middle Border, First Edition 1917, MacMillan, NY SIGNED on the 1st title page, a really nice signature only. Olive green cloth hardcover with gold decorations. The spine is soiled and missing some of its gold, rubbing, and minor shelf wear. unread, square VG. No DJ previous owners bookplate.
#2. A Daughter of the Middle Border, Gossett & Dunlap, Reprint, 1926. The popular navy blue cloth with red lettering, bruised spine ends, blue stain top edge. Clean unread square. VG with a soiled DJ Good or better.
#3. Back Trailers From the Middle Border. First Edition 1928, MacMillan NY. The popular navy blue cloth with red highlights but green(?) lettering on spine, hard to read, no DJ. Nice illustration front cover. Soiled and rubbing, bruised spine ends, green stained top edge, mild shelf wear. Good to VG front part of the book bowed top to the bottom outer edge. Maybe stack a few books on it face down, name inside cover.
#4. Trail-Makers of the Middle Border. First Edition 1926, MacMillan NY. Navy Blue cloth with red-letter front cover with a nice illustration and gold spine lettering also nice, bruised spine ends and edge wear on the fore-edges as well. Clean and square. The webbing is showing between the front cover and 1st leaf should be an easy fix. Good to Very Good.

#5 is The Moccasin Ranch with an added glued inside front cover, still nice considering how old the book. First Edition 1909, Harper & Brothers. Webbing showing main title page. The book is better than expected with minor soiling, light shelf wear etc minor defects. Good to Very Good.

About Pulitzer Prize Books.com

I am a private collector, mainly Pulitzer Prize winners, but I inherited 1000's of hardcovers and looking to sell them off. I will be relocating in the near future, and need to lighten the load.
