Charles Clarke Ltd. 1938.. post 8vo. softcover. 342pp. 79 pages of illustrations and local advertisements.there are two editions of this book. both have the same text but the softcover version has no map [replaced by 2 photographs from the larger edition] and 79 as opposed to 127 pages of illustrations. publication date is overprinted and the map called for on the contents page is generally hand excised. like the hardback comes in a variety of bindings this is the brown printed [ with a view of a water mill] on pale brown heavy card wrap.small piece missing from bottom rear wrap and some wear around edges otherwise a good clean copy. BRITISH TOPOGRAPHY. SUSSEX. CUCKFIELD. LINDFIELD. BURGESS HILL. HAYWARDS HEATH.
