Richly illustrated with 126 in-text photographs and plates documenting every aspect of the trip: road conditions, scenery, villages and towns, people, trials of driving through the country with primitive roads and bridges, etc. Folding map inserted in back pocket marks the itinerary from Paris, across Russia, to Peking. Introduction written by Principe Scipione Borghese. Hinges strengthened, else very good copy of the rare First Edition (40237).
