NY: Grosset & Dunlap, 1935. Trade hardcover format w/dj. Endsheets of the orange Nancy silhouette w/ magnifying glass. Not remainder marked, dj not clipped. This book is number 12 in the series. 18 titles are listed on front flap thru Moss-covered Mansion. 9 Danas rear flap, 8 Garis rear panel. 218 pages. Copyright date given is 1935, but 1943 is the more likely date. White spined dj shows overall shelfware, rubbing on the front panel and an open rip along the hing of the front panel, name penned on the right flap, lower hinges stained on the back from water damage, looks very good in Brodart protective sleeve. Lower corner of front & back board stained from water damage, else clean & square. Pages lightly aged, clean & unmarked. Binding firm & straight.

Synopsis

Nancy Drew determines if an ivory elephant charm really protects its wearer from harm when she investigates the involvement of a member of the Bengleton Wild-Animal Show in a mysterious scheme.
