About This Item
Washington, April 15, 1948.. [2]pp. Old folds, light wear. Very good. Menu for the House of Representatives Restaurant in the U.S. Capitol, inscribed by Richard Nixon: "With best wishes to the newlyweds! Tom & Kay Hussey. I think you're both very lucky! Richard Nixon." On the back, next to the bill of fare, he has written, "Not as good as Green Island!" Nixon served as a Congressman from California from 1947 to 1950. A lighthearted autograph from a person usually characterized as quite dour.
