Pages are moderately tanned and thumbed at the edges, with moderate foxing. Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Tanning to spine and edges.

From the Library of John Lane Mullins (1857-1939) whose books were donated after his death to Saint Sofia's College in Sydney University, who typically marked them with one or two unobtrusive dewey numbers, a presentation bookplate, and sometimes a manilla pocket affixed to a rear endpaper.
