About This Item

London: Sampson Low Marston Searle and Rivington, 1882. Later printing. Complete in three volumes. Bound in full blue leather, with gilt titles and rule, raised spine bands, and marbled endpapers.

A collection of portrait photographs of prominent men in government, science, and the arts. Subjects include Robert Browning, John Everett Millais, Frederick Leighton, Victor Hugo, the Marquis of Salisbury, Jules Verne, Gustave Dore, and many more.

Very Good plus, with light wear to the corners and spines, but contents for the most part unaffected.
