Liverpool: C.Tinling & Co.Ltd, 1926.. Written in conjunction with the "Memorials" of 1873, and additions of 1900. Ex-University Library. "Early in the eighteenth century, Thomas Hurry, with some members of his family, established themselves at Great Yarmouth, as Hemp and Iron Merchants, and obtained extensive warehouses at the South-West corner of Queens Street, fronting West in the Quay...They were also ship agents, agents for Lloyd's, and Vice-Consuls for Prussia and other foreign powers. His descendants were extentensively engaged in commerce in that town for nearly two centuries..." 23.5cms x 19cms. All edges gilt. Pp.viii/129, double page portrait frontispiece + 12 further black & white portrait plates, 4 crests, marled endpapers, University of London bookplate to inside front board, 'withdrawn' inkstamp to reverse of front free endpaper, small inkstamp to reverse of title page, minor scuffs to rear endpapers. Red pebbled cloth, gilt title to black leather lable to spine. Scarce. G+.
