Title on front and spine in gold lettering. Originally published in 1895 by the Goodspeed Brothers, this reprint was published in 1982 with new material by Rev. Silas Emmett Lucas and published by Lucas at the Southern Historical Press. This book starts with a short history of Texas and proceeds to individuals who were important to the gowth of the state. 463pp.., many illustrations and portraits. Individual biographies are one and a half to two pages. An excellent sturdy copy, that comes to you in an acid free document bag for storage and mailed in a box. And I can have it in the mail tomorrow.
