Hardcover in gilt-lettered and enbossed brown cloth boards. 93 pages illustrated with engraved frontis portrait. William Cogswell (1838â1895) was a U.S. Representative from Massachusetts and a colonel in the Union Army during the American Civil War who was awarded the honorary grade of brevet brigadier general, U.S. Volunteers. Covers are a bit soiled and curved, text-block a bit wrinkled, frontis tissue guard torn, else good overall condition; no owner marking, NOT EX-LIBRARY. (froc)
