Sound binding and hinges on each volume. Pages clean, tanned. Some foxing on endpapers, frontispiece, and title page of each volume. Half leather over boards has scuffing, edge wear especially at corners. Gilt lettering on each spine is clear. ; Memoirs of Sir James Mackintosh (1765-1832), Scottish jurist, Whig politician and Whig historian. Editor was his son. Ex-Library; 8.5" tall; 1023 pages.
