Collins, 1958. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1958. No Edition Remarks. 574 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Contains black and white photographic frontispiece, with other plates and maps throughout. Pages are mildly tanned, but text remains clear. Plates are bright. Moderate foxing to endpapers. Binding is slightly shaky, due to cracked front hinge, but all pages remain attached. Pencil inscription to front pastedown, with price inscription to free endpaper opposite. Boards and spine have minimal shelf-wear, with mild corner bumping and crushing to ends. Spine is slightly sunned. Gilt remains bright. Heavy rubbing and scuffing overall, with some small but visible marks also. Boards are slightly bowed.
