Interior pages clean, binding good. 352 pp. Book contains essays on Cimabue, Giotto, Ghiberti, Masaccio, through Titian, Tintoretto, Veronese. First appeared as a series of essays in the 'Penny magazine'. and as a book in 1845. No jacket. Ex library with stamp on title page. Prior owner's name in pencil inside cover: Mary Glarissa (?) Headarll (?). 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
