Blue cloth-covered boards; gilt design on front, gilt titles and decoration on spine; text block edges untrimmed. 8vo. A large and heavy volume requiring an additional charge for overseas delivery. Rubbed spine ends, cloth wearing; shelf number label on spine; corners rubbed and rounded, light shelf wear to boards. Endpapers lightly tanned and foxed. Lender's stamps, labels and markings on endpapers and prelims. Internally pages are neat, clean, bright and tight, barring the occasional light spotting. Bibliographical Note by Lewis Melville. Artist's Preface by Harry Furniss.
