London: Neville Spearman, 1965. VG+/VG. First edition, first printing in d/w not price clipped. PRESENTATION COPY INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR, on front endpaper. Inscription reads, 'To -----/with best wishes/from the Author/Douglas/Easter 66'. Illustrated with photographs, including one of Sir Malcolm Campbell at Daytona in 1935. The autobiography of Squadron Leader Douglas Alexander de Singleton Young-James, (born 1914 in the Isle of Wight), who spent twenty-five years in the Royal Air Force, serving in India, Singapore, Japan and Egypt. One of his appoinments was as C.O. number 91 A.S.P. (Air Stores Park) at Asonsol, India. Besides covering his service career, the author has written a chapter on Sir Malcolm Campbell and Donald Campbell. With Index. D/w has some edge chipping; else a very good plus copy, in a very good d/w, of an UNCOMMON first edition, first printing SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR. D/w now protected in a detachable, non-adhesive, clear sheaf.. Presentation Copy Inscribed And Signed. First Edition, First Printing. Hardback. Very Good Plus/Very Good.
