Copenhagen: Gyldendalske Boghandel, 1921. Leather. Very Good. 8.5" by 5.5". Not Stated. A scarce first edition of the memoirs of Hans Kaarsberg. A scarce first edition of the memoirs of Hans Kaarsberg. First Edition in the original Danish. Hans Kaarsberg was a Danish writer who wrote several short stories and travel descriptions. With the bookplate of Jens Christian Hostrup II, a doctor, screenplay writer and actor who was an active figure in the Danish resistance, and friend to American science fiction writer Paol Anderson. In a half morocco binding with mabrled boards. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the boards and head and tail of the spine. Fading to the spine and bumping to the tail of the spine. Front joint slightly starting but still reasonably firm. Bookplate of Jens Christian Hostrup to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright with just some marginal agte toning and the odd spot. Ink signature to the half title. Very Good
