About This Item

New York: B. Waugh and T. Mason, 1833. Good in contemporary quarter leather over marbled boards, heavy wear to boards especially at edges, some dog-eared pages, frontispiece torn with sewn repair, ink inscription to ffep, and substantial damp staining.. Revised Edition. Number 41 of the Sunday School and Youth's Library. An apparently uplifting, but rather disturbing, work about two pious siblings who died young and within a year of each other.

One of many warnings in the book, "when the young die strangers to religion, the horrible thought often wrings the heart of surviving parents, that they have gone from the agonies of disease to the torments of hell."

24mo. [5], 94pp. [1]. Scarce with no copies of this edition located on Worldcat as of June 2021.
