About This Item
New York: Simon & Schuster, 1967. First American Edition, First Printing Stated. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good+. Cloth; dust jacket; 8vo; pp. 191. Inscribed by the author on the FFEP, "For Stuart Oderman -- This is, in a sense, the first part of a trilogy. The second part is a play made out of this novel by Don Bachardy & me. It has been performed in Los Angeles and New York. The third part is a screenplay, based on both the novel and the play. This hasn't yet been produced. Bachardy is its co-author. Christopher Isherwood. July 23, 1976." Tape stains at top and bottom edges of boards and endpapers (affecting the author's inscription); otherwise a tight, clean copy of the book. Dust jacket lightly rubbed; a few small scuff marks along the edges; VG+ in mylar, not price-clipped. An interesting association copy.
Stuart Oderman is a piano accompanist and composer for silent films.
