I, in the Lancet, a succinct tribute to the accomplishments of Dr. Keevil was paid by the reviewer when he commented on the fact that no one, sailor, surgeon, or man of letters, had until now written a history of naval medicine, and added that this deficiency had been made good by one who had distinguished himself in all three vocations. Volume 3 of set, this covering period of Jenkins Ear and Austrian Succession, Seven Years War, War of American Independence, the Revolution and Napoleonic Wars. Sections on all aspects of naval medicine during this period. Excellent illustrations, including gun deck of hospital ship HMS Blenheim from 1743. EB; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
