Extremely clean set with excellent hand-coloring, 186 colored plates (two plates numbered 75, plates 104 & 109 in volume 2 are folding pull-out plates). Uniformly bound in half-leather with raised bands, marbled boards, and gilt lettering. Covers show minor wear and rubbing to the extremities. Marbled edges and endpapers. Name of former owner in the prelims of each volume, bookplate of former owner on a blank prelim of volume 1. Pages are lightly tanned and clean.
